Honor your mother with a butterfly
In recognition of Mother’s Day, the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation provides an opportunity in the Bluffton community to honor or remember a mother. You may recognize her as a “Founding Mother.”
A recognition wall is located outside the hospital maternity area at The Women’s Center of Bluffton Hospital.
This wall features “Founding Mothers” acknowledged by friends and family members.
Through this program, mothers will receive an engraved butterfly permanently placed on the dedication wall, named in a special ad in the Bluffton Icon and will be presented a special, hand-crafted butterfly charm necklace.
The butterfly charms are crafted by Bluffton artist Kat Luginbuhl and will be available for pick-up prior to Mother’s Day.
“This is an opportunity to recognize the women in our lives who have provided roots in the community and wings to fly,” said Marie Swaisgood, chief development officer for the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation.
All commitments need to be made by Tuesday, May 1, in order to be featured in the special ad and to receive a charm in time for Mother’s Day. The charms will be available for pick up at Gallery 323, North Main Street, Bluffton after Tuesday, May 8.
For more information on how to participate in this program visit bvhealthsystem.org/foundingmothers or call 419-423-5457.
