(BLUFFTON) - Ottoville scored three runs in the third inning which was enough to win a 3-0 non-conference battle Wednesday evening. Bluffton falls to 2-4 with the loss.
Senior Cole Fruchey pitched well for Bluffton, making it into the sixth inning and holding the Big Green to just two hits and striking out four. Freshman Evan Mayden got the final five outs for BHS including two strikeouts. Mayden gave up no hits.
The Pirates were held to four hits on the night. Dakota Bricker was 2/3 including a double in the sixth. Kaden Reneker and Brice Rayle each collected a hit for BHS as well. The Pirates had two base runners in both the fourth and sixth inning but could not push a run across the plate.
The Pirates will next face Paulding in a road contest on Thursday April 12.
