(PAULDING) - Bluffton softball dropped a 3-1 road decision to Northwest Conference foe Paulding Thursday. The Pirates outhit the Panthers 7-4 but surrendered two unearned runs on three errors. Bluffton is now 6-3 (1-2 in NWC) while Paulding is 3-3 (2-1).
Brinkley Garmatter racked up three hits for Bluffton and stole a base. Katie Prater was 2/3 and drove in Averey Rumer for the lone Pirate run in the top of the first inning.
Libby Schaadt gave up just four hits in six innings of work and struck out seven batters. The sophomore surrendered just one earned run and is now 6-3 on the season.
