Softball: 2 stolen bases for Rumer as BHS beats Grove

(BLUFFTON) - The Lady Pirate softball team picked up their second league win with a 6-5 victory over Columbus Grove. The Pirates led 5-1 after four innings but the Bulldogs tied the ballgame in the top of the fifth, plating four runs. BHS pushed the go ahead run in the bottom of the frame to hold on for the win.
BHS collected 8 hits on the evening and also took advantage of 8 Bulldog errors. Leading hitters for Bluffton included Averey Rumer (3/4, 2 runs, 2 stolen bases, 1 RBI), Katie Prater (2/3, 2 runs, 1 RBI) and Aimee Ritter (1/4, 2 RBI).
Libby Schaadt was dominating on the mound, striking out 15 Grove batters. The sophomore allowed 7 hits and two earned runs.
