April 2
Officers responded to an East College Avenue residence for a deceased person.

A Bluffton University official reported a criminal mischief complaint to police.

Officers arrested Ryan M. Matter, 22, Bluffton, on an outstanding warrant out of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

April 3
Officers arrested Derek Milton, 18, Detroit, Mich., and John E. Boyd, 19, Muncie, Ind., for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and Kibler Street for a speeding violation. The cases are pending in Lima Municipal Court.

April 4
Officers responded to a Commerce Lane business in regards to a suspicious vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was determined the vehicle in question was stolen out of Michigan and the two occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to the Hancock County Justice Center.

April 5
Officers arrested Rebecca L. Hasting, 38, Bluffton, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Commerce Lane. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.

Officers responded to a Lawn Avenue residence in regards to a civil complaint.

April 7
Officers arrested Amy M. Metzger, 45, Bluffton, for OVI following a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Main Street for an improper turn violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

April 10
Officers responded to a County Line Road residence in regards to a stolen motor vehicle complaint.

Officers took a theft report from a County Line Road residence.

Officers took a theft report from another County Line Road residence.

Officers arrested Jacob W. Ridinger, 37, Mt. Cory, on an outstanding warrant out of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

April 11
Officers took a civil complaint from a Huber Street resident.

Officers arrested Lee M. Brodman, 33, Bluffton, for OVI, driving under suspension, plates from another vehicle and resisting arrest following a traffic stop in the 900 block of North Main Street for a registration violation and turn signal violation. The cases are pending in Lima Municipal Court.

April 12
Officers responded to a Cherry Street business in regards to a vandalism complaint.

Officers arrested Michael A. Ash, 31, Alger, on an outstanding warrant out of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

April 14
Officers responded to the university in regards to an assault.

April 15
An Albert Street resident reported his vehicle was vandalized while it was parked and unattended at his place of employment.

April 16
Officers arrested Stacy A. Baldock, 28, Lima, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of County Line Road and North Main Street for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.

Officers responded to the university for a vandalism complaint.  

April 20
Officers took a drug abuse complaint from a County Line Road resident.

April 21
Officers arrested Jillian J. van Seghbroeck, 18, McComb, for OVI following a traffic stop in the area 800 block of County Line Road for a speeding violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

April 22
Officers arrested Jaden A. Jenkins, 18, Bluffton, for physical control of a motor vehicle following a complaint of a suspicious person and vehicle in the area of Riley Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

Officers took an unruly juvenile report from a North Main Street resident.

April 23
Officers arrested Andrew Wolford, 30, Forest, on an outstanding warrant out of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

April 24
Officers took a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was later safely located.

April 25
Officers responded to a Richland Drive residence for a fight complaint.

Officers were dispatched to a South Main Street business in reference to multiple vehicles being broken into while the vehicle owners were in the businesses.

A Grove Street resident reported her vehicle was broken into while she was at a Snider Road business.

April 28
Officers responded to the university in reference to a vehicle window that was broken by a foul ball during a baseball game.

Officers responded to the university in reference to student’s vehicle being broken into and items taken from inside.

April 30
Officers arrested Tina M. Ferrell, 46, Findlay, for OVI following a traffic stop in the area of North Main Street and Snider Road for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
