Bluffton council hires Blackburn as village administrator
Bluffton interim village administrator Jesse Blackburn is now the offical village administrator.
Following Monday's council meeting, the council entered executive session to discuss personnel.
After existing closed doors, a motion was made by Mitch Kingsley with a second by Phill Talavinia to hire Blackburn as village administrator at a salary of $65,000 per year.
His hiring includes a continuation of his three weeks of accumulated vacation and other benefits that are assume by that position. His position will be reviewed at the end of 2018.
Blackburn's position was approved by an 6-0 vote.
He replaces Jack Huber who was terminated as village administrator in a special meeting on April 30. Click here for that story.
