Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Co., Bluffton celebrates Shirley's birthday on Saturday, June 16, with a day full of family-friendly events, according to Pete and Kim Suter.
Carnival games, a coloring contest, and buy-one-get-one specials highlight the event held downtown Bluffton, with 100 percent of sales being donated to Bluffton Public Library.
Here's the schedule:
9 a.m.
• Shirley's and Friends of the Bluffton Public Library 5K Run/Walk for Literacy
• Register online at bit.ly/bluffton5k
• Trophies will be awarded for the top overall male and female runners, with medallions for top finishers in each age group
•Check-in starts at 8 a.m. with the race beginning at 9 a.m.
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Free inflatables, children's carnival games, and dunk tank
• Caramel To Die For ice cream sundaes
• All proceeds presented to the Bluffton Public Library
All Day
• 100% of sales donated to the Bluffton Public Library
• BOGO bags (equal or lesser value, limit two free)
• Free coloring contest, all participants receive a copy of "Timothy Troyer Tries Toast" picture book
• Free small bag Caramel To Die For popcorn with $10 same-day receipt from any downtown Bluffton business
