Bluffton schools 2018-19 appropriations reach $19 million

Bluffton school board will act on the hiring of a new teacher at its Thursday board meeting. Amanda Temple will be offered a one-year contract to teach sixth and seventh grade science. She will replace Lauren Moser, who has resigned.
If hired, Temple will join the system with a master’s, step 3, one-year contract at $44,023 per year.
The board will also act on classified employment for Jennifer Geiser, educational aide at $13.30 per hour, beginning Aug. 23; and Joel Conley, part-time custodian, $16.16 per hour, on an as needed basis. Jeff Richards will be offered a contract as weight room supervisor at $12.13 per hour.
Several additional supplemental contracts, classified substitute, and substitute teacher contracts will be offered. Those are listed in the board agenda, attached to this story.
The board will act on approving 2018-19 appropriations totaling $19,060,133.
