ODOT seeking public comment on Bluffton area road projects
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 11988, is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects.
Hancock County
State Route 235 resurfacing (PID: 98471) – ODOT is proposing to resurface the pavement on state Route 235 in Hancock County in three locations:
• Beginning at county Road 313 approximately 0.4 miles south of the village of Mount Cory and ending at state Route 12 intersection approximately 1.5 miles west of the village of Benton Ridge. This roadway section passes through the village of Mount Cory.
• Beginning on the eastern end of the village of Benton Ridge and ending at the state Route 186 intersection just south of the village of McComb.
• Beginning on the eastern end of the village of McComb and ending at the Wood County line.
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures; vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Construction for this project is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2019.
• State Route 103 shoulder and roadway widening (PID: 107177) – ODOT is proposing minor widening of the traveling lanes and shoulders on state Route 103 in Hancock County from the state Route 698 intersection just south of the village of Jenera to the western end of the village of Arlington.
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures; vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Construction for this project is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2019.
