“Brownies and Benefits" program Sept. 12
Hilty Home, Pandora, is hosting a one-hour informative program on the VA Aid & Attendance Benefit, at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12. Dessert and beverages will be served during the program.
Many wartime veterans are unaware that benefits for assisted living and long-term care are available to them. Hilty Home has invited an expert on the topic to present accurate information and answer questions.
Clifford Funka III, Beacon Associates, will present the information and address the following:
•What is the VA Aid & Attendance Benefit?
• What are the qualifications?
• Who qualifies for the benefit and how?
• The process of applying
• How we can help
A wartime veteran with a dependent can qualify for up to $26,036 annually, while a surviving spouse can collect $14,113 if he/she meets the qualifications. Funds may be available for assisted living, nursing homes, and enhanced independent living.
No reservations are needed for the presentation. Hilty Home is located at 304 Hilty Drive, Pandora. For more information, call 419-384-3218.
