Major stop on Hancock Horizontal Hundred Bicycle Tour
Hundreds of bicyclists will pass through Bluffton on Sunday.
The village is a major stop in this year’s Hancock Horizontal Hundred Bicycle Tour. The Bluffton stop has served as part of the tour for the past several years.
This is the 48th annual tour, according to Paul Craun, event coordinator for the Hancock Handlebars, sponsor of the ride.
Bikers have a choice of 20, 33, 50, 68 or 100-mile routes.
Bluffton is the 24-mile stop on the 50-mile route, the 39-mile stop on the 68-mile route and the 52-mile stop on the 100-mile route.
Bluffton’s official rest stop is located at the Bluffton middle school. The stop will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and lunch will be available to riders.
Routes and schedule are subject to change due to weather and road condition. Click here for complete details and registration information about the ride.
