Boys' soccer keeps on rolling
By Sam Brauen www.blufftonpirates.com
Bluffton's boys soccer team ripped off their fifth win in a row with a 5-1 road triumph at Lincolnvew. The Pirates are now 5-0-2 overall and 3-0 in Northwest Conference play. The Lancer goal tonight was the first opponent goal allowed in a NWC match this season.
Senior Jackson Steinmetz got a hat trick tonight with two of the goals assisted by Luke Young and Jon Schriner. Tayton Kleman scored the game's first goal off an assist from Eli Lemley. Steinmetz scored the next three Pirate tallies, surrounding a Lancer goal by Kyle Wallace and Bluffton held a 4-1 halftime lead.
Jayden Mays corralled an Isaiah Schwab pass in the 52nd minute and put the game away.
Bluffton outshot Lincolnview 19-1, with the Lancers only shot finding the net against Pirate keeper Dakota Clymer.
