Silent auction lets you take flight or take a snooze!
As part of Bluffton’s Fall Festival, the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) Service Group is holding its annual Silent Auction from now through noon Saturday, Sept. 22. All items are displayed in the Mennonite Memorial Home lobby, 410 W. Elm Street, Bluffton.
According to Jessica Strahm, volunteer coordinator, items range from a 30-minute airplane flight with pilot Bill Suter, to a king size oak pencil bed. Items donated by area individuals include:
• Basket of home canned goods

• Load of firewood
• Homemade rancher logs for children
• Various wooden bowls
• MHCO toy wooden truck

• Handmade quilt

Proceeds from the Silent Auction will enhance the quality of life of more than 350 elders residing at Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities.
