Bins and bins of footballs at Ada's Wilson's garage sale

FROM ADA ICON - More than 500 bargain hunters were on hand at 8 a.m. Saturday when the buzzer rang to start the Wilson Sporting Goods annual Garage Sale. Some shoppers arrived the night before and others lined up several hours before the 8 a.m. start of the sale.
Bins and bins of footballs—bargained priced at $10 up to $35 for the Super Bowl "Duke" ball—were available. And many other Wilson-made items were for sale, such as Badminton sets for $10, basketballs and soccer balls for $15.
People bought athletic equipment for themselves, Christmas gifts for their children and grandchildren and for entire sports teams. They carried away armloads of large plastic bags filled with Wilson goods. Every year, people expect a good sale and are not disappointed.
The sale has been successfully run for many years. The staff and site are well prepared for the day and for the crowds.
