University education department chair to discuss new accreditation process
Dr. Gayle Trollinger, professor of education and department chair, will present the Colloquium, “Adventures in Bureaucracy: What I Learned from CAEP,’” at 4 p.m. on Oct. 26 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Last year, the Bluffton University Educator Preparation Program underwent accreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. The preparation for accreditation requires gathering data, developing and argument and offering solid documentation. During the presentation, Trollinger will discuss the process and applications that emerged from the process as well as the benefits of accreditation.
This event is free and open to the public.
