Forum with film director on Nov. 6
Laura Kissel, professor of media arts in the school of visual arts and design at the University of South Carolina, will speak during Bluffton University’s Forum at 11 a.m. on Nov. 6 in Yoder Recital Hall. The title of her presentation is “Making the Film ‘Cotton Road.’”
The documentary film director/producer will discuss why and how she made the award winning film “Cotton Road,” which will be screened at 7 p.m. on the same day in Yoder Recital Hall.
The documentary film follows the commodity of cotton from South Carolina farms to Chinese factories to illuminate the work and industrial processes in a global supply chain.
This event is free and open to the public.
