Doris Bollenbacher was a resident of Mennonite Memorial Home
Doris Jean Bollenbacher, 84, died on Oct. 18, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Health System, Hospice Care, Findlay, Ohio.
Doris Jean was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Chattanooga, Ohio (Mercer County), to Homer J. and Leota L. (Baker) Bollenbacher. She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant brother Lyle in 1932.
Doris graduated from Rockford High School in 1952 as salutatorian. During her 42 years while working at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina, she lived directly across the street and never drove to work a single day. Doris had lived at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton, for the past 7 years.
Doris is survived by a brother Duane (Deb), Bluffton, a brother Leland (Sandie), Melrose, Florida, 7 nieces, 1 step-nephew, 18 great nephews and nieces, and 2 great-great nieces.
She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Chattanooga, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at Cisco Funeral Home, 6921 State Route 703 E., Celina, Ohio, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Chaplain Bill Herr of the Mennonite Memorial Home will officiate. Friends may call an hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at a later date at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
