Survey shows zero deficiencies
Maple Crest Senior Living Village has received its 6th consecutive “zero deficiency” survey from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
Maple Crest provides both independent and assisted living and is surveyed approximately every 12 months. In Ohio, the typical “Assisted Living” home is licensed as a Residential Care Facility and many people use the terms interchangeably. ODH licenses residential care facilities and conducts on-site inspections for compliance with state rules and regulations.
According to Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest and MHCO independent living, the unannounced survey occurred on Oct. 19, 2018. The surveyor examines several areas of assisted living, such as fire safety, staffing, infection control, resident rights, dietary services and many others. Lee received notification of zero deficiencies in late October.
Maple Crest Senior Living Village, 700 Maple Crest Court, Bluffton, is located on 18 acres and includes independent and assisted living apartments and independent living villas. The property has walking paths, a fish pond, woodworking shop, and indoor swimming pool. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 419-358-1015.
