Jan Goodger was a former teacher at Trinity Lutheran School
Jan Goodger, former part-time teacher at Trinity Lutheran School, Jenera, and wife of Arnold Goodger, teacher of Grades 5 and 6 at Trinity from 1979-1986, was died on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, after a short illness.
Janice Louise (Breitenfield) Goodger, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was born on Dec. 21, 1950, in Tomah, Wisconsin, to Victor and Lydia Breitenfield. She graduated from Luther High School in Onalaska, Wisconsin, in 1969, and from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, in 1974.
She was a Lutheran school teacher in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, serving in Owosso, Michigan; Rochester, Minnesota; Trinity, Jenera; St. Marcus and St. James in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Presently she was the Early Childhood Director and teacher for K3, K4, and Kindergarten at Loving Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milwaukee.
Jan is survived by her husband, Arnie; children: Kris (Matt) Groth, Kara (Josh) Kassulke, Jenni (Brian) Schuessler, Amanda (Ryan) Sawall, Mark (Sammi) Goodger and Emily (Eric) Grimm and 23 grandchildren.
Visitation and a memorial service were held at Loving Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church on Nov. 10. Memorials may be made to Loving Shepherd Early Childhood Center, 3909 West Clinton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53209.
