It's parent-teacher conference week in Bluffton schools. Here's the schedule plus school news concerning events in December.
Elementary conference schedule
Monday - K-5, 5 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday-Thursday-Friday - no school
Decembeer elementary events
Dec. 3 - 3rd-4th-5th grade orchestra
and, 5th grade band demonstration concert, MS, 7 p.m.
Dec. 3 - PTO, teachers' lounge, 8 p.m.
Dec. 7 - Midterms go home
Dec. 10 - Elementary Christmas concert, BHS gym, 1:30 p.m.
Dec. 12 - 4th grade, MMH (Lion and Lamb), 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Dec. 13 - 3rd grade, Maplecrest Christmas songs, 10-11:30 a.m.
Dec. 17 Christmas Concert (Snow day if needed)
Dec. 20 - Last day of school 2018

Holiday Spirit Week
• Monday 12/17 - Merry Christmas Morning (Dress in your Christmas PJ’s)
• Tuesday, 12/18 - Santa’s Workshop (Dress like Santa, elves, reindeer, toys)
• Wednesday, 12/19 - Color Block Day (Dress in holiday colors - red, green, gold, silver)
• Thursday, 12/20 - Ugly Christmas Sweater (Wear your favorite Christmas sweater)
Food Drive - Middle School’s student senate is sponsoring a food drive through Dec. 7. Bring items to Mrs. Ault’s room. Each grade has a goal of 500 items.
Toys for Tots - Boxes are set up in the Middle School lobby for Toys for Tots campaign. Drop off a new and unwrapped toy to donate by Dec. 12.
High school schedule
Monday and Tueseday, 5 to 8 p.m.
Winter Sport Passes: The cost is $45 for boys basketball and $45 for girls basketball games. These passes will get you into all the boys' basketball home games, both junior high and high school or the girls' basketball home games, both junior high and high school. You cannot use it at tournament games. You need an all sports pass or the winter sports pass to have a reserved seat.
Toys for Tots: There is a Toys for Tots box in each of the school offices. Donations of new toys will be accepted until the week Dec. 10.
Shoe Drive: If you have a pair of shoes in good condition and don’t want them anymore, please drop them off in the box outside the guidance office. They will be given to the BFR for their shoe donation drive.
