Lions Club peace poster winners focus on "kindness matters"
Shylee Kaufman, Morgan Fruchey and Aryonne Baxter, Bluffton seventh graders, are this year’s Bluffton Lions Club peace poster contest winners.
They were introducted with their posters to Lions members on Nov. 20. Nicole Anderson is the middle school art teacher.
• 1st place, Shylee Kaufman, daughter of Ronald and Roni Kaufman
• 2nd place, Morgan Fruchey, daughter of Jeremy and Nicole Fruchey
• 3rd place, Aryonne Baxter, daughter of Cory and Angela Cowan
The first place winning poster advances to the Lions District Level, to compete with winners sponsored by other Lions clubs in northwestern Ohio. Entries are evaluated based on artistic merit, originality, and the best expression of this year’s contest theme, “Kindness Matters.”
This is the ninth year the Bluffton Lions Club and the Middle School have conducted the contest.
In the past three years, the winners of the Bluffton contest were Jasi Crawfis (2017), Ellie Nickel (2016), and Luisa Dunlap (2015).
