Nina Scoles 1941 - 2018
Enedina "Nina" Scoles, 76, died Nov. 24, 2018, at Defiance Hospice Inpatient Center. Nina was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas, to the late Silviano and Soledad (Chapa) Lara. She married Walter Scoles and he died on Dec. 28, 2002.
Nina worked at the Putnam County Health Department as a registrar. She was an active member of the Fountain of Life Church in Leipsic.
Survivors include three sons, Andrew (Kay) Salazar of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael (Jennifer) Salazar of Pandora, Nathan Scoles of Pandora; six grandchildren, Laura (Anthony) Stringfield, Logan Scoles, Lena Salazar, Luke Salazar, Lane Salazar, Lila Salazar; and two brothers, Sam (Emma) Lara of Menard, Texas and Eleazar Lara of Smyrna, Tennessee.
Nina was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lana Salazar.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
