Andrew Renner HCAC men’s basketball player of the week
Junior guard Andrew Renner (Cairo/Bath) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his work on the hardwood in wins over Earlham and Hanover.
Renner averaged 20.0 points per game last week as the Beavers went 2-0 in HCAC action. He tallied a career-high tying 32 points at Earlham, marking the second time in three games that Renner bucketed 32 points. The junior's buzzer-beater propelled the Beavers to an 82-80 double overtime victory. Renner averaged 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the pair of victories.
The Bluffton men (6-2, 2-1 HCAC) will host Franklin on Saturday at 4 p.m. following the women's 2 p.m. clash with the Grizzlies.
