Louis Barth visitation Saturday at St. Mary's
Louis Barth Jr., 80, died Dec. 12, 2018, at his residence in Lima. Lou was born April 16, 1938, in Cincinnati to the late Louis and Leona (Carter) Barth. On Feb. 6, 1959, he married Janet Barth who preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2009.
Lou was a butcher at Kroger in Cincinnati and later retired from Dana Corporation. He was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Lima and Loyal Order of the Moose #199, Lima.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Juleen) Barth of Phoenix, Arizona, James (Marilyn) Barth of Tomball, Texas, Joseph (Jennifer) Barth of Phoenix, Arizona, Daniel (Ragan) Barth of Phoenix, Arizona; three daughters, Mary Beth (Stephen) Madlener of Cincinnati, Ohio, Katherine (George) Schramm of Columbus Grove, Sheri Myers of Parrish, Florida; 25 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Gloria (Marvin) Carter of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Lou was preceded in death by a son, David Barth; a daughter, Tracy Ann Barth and a brother, Donald Barth.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Father John Stites officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
