Grant funds from OhioMeansJobs – Allen County
St. Rita’s Medical Center is the recipient of grant funds from OhioMeansJobs – Allen County to help current employees continue to grow and gain additional jobs skills. St. Rita’s has been a long-time participant in the Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) program.
The purpose of the IWT is to support training projects that will benefit local business and industry by assisting the skill development of existing employees. The training is expected to lead to the creation of new jobs, retention of jobs, increased wages for better-trained workers, a higher-skilled workforce, and a more profitable business climate.
Over the past three months, the IWT program has assisted St. Rita’s with nearly $10,500 in reimbursements to uptrain the work force. To date, these funds have assisted Mercy Health with Global Leadership Summit, Studer Leadership Conference, and The American Nurses Credentialing Center for the National Magnet Conference.
Join Mercy Health and OhioMeansJobs – Allen County leaders as they present a check to St. Rita’s. Additionally, a beneficiary of the IWT program will be available to share her experience.
The check presentation took place Dec. 18 in the Resource Library.
