Girls' bball: Lincolnview falls, Koenig puts up 27

VAN WERT – Alivia Koenig put up 27 points leading Bluffton to a 54-46 victory over Lincolnview. Averey Rumer added balance, scoring 12. The Lady Pirates are 10-4 overall and remain undefeated in conference play with a 4-0 mark.
Bluffton trailed 15-13 after one quarter but righted the ship in the second. Koenig hit her first three pointer and scored 7 in the quarter. Ashly Eachus and Rumer eached scored as well as Bluffton took a 24-23 lead.
In the third, Bluffton got white hot from outside the three point arc. Koenig drained three long bombs and Katie Prater added a ‘3’ of her own. Of the 14 points put on the board by the visitors, 12 came from threes. The lead had ballooned to 38-33 heading into the fourth quarter. BHS won the final stanza 16-13 and hit 6/8 free throws along the way. Rumer and Koenig each scored 7 points while Prater added 4.

What’s Next
The girls get a week off before hosting Spencerville. The Bearcats triumphed over the Pirates last season by a 55-50 score.
