See ‘Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter’ Jan. 20 at Oakwoods
Join Hancock Park District staff on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Discovery Center for “Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter.” This means the two planets will have the same celestial longitude or be really close to each other in the night sky. The Moon will also be in the waning gibbous phase.
A visit to the portable planetarium is included in this event. Participants are required to sit on the floor. Ask about accommodations. All ages are welcome. This program is free, but register by 10:30 a.m. on January 20 at www.HancockParks.com under “Programs & Activities”. There is a maximum of 25 participants for this event.
