Which one…there are 12 varieties.
The second annual Bluffton chili cook-off held Feb. 19 was a chili lover’s dream. Twelve different choice and all proceeds going to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program’s food pantry was the on the menu.
Started as a mission project of Bluffton Presbyterian Church last year, Lynda Best said that this year’s event raised $1,256 for the food pantry. In addition, at least one carload of canned and non-perishable food items were donated by participants.
John Hochstetler won this year’s People’s Choice award. Second was Bluffton Baptist Church and third Emmanuel United Church of Christ.
“We are so thankful for all those who helped and all the people who came out and supported the cookoff,” said Best.
