Here is the list of arts and events at Bluffton University during March. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
March 3 Event: "Conscience, Scripture and Patriotism: The Church of the Brethren and the Crisis of the Great War" by William Kostlevy, Brethren Historical Library and Archives, 4 p.m., Kreider Room, Marbeck Center.
March 10 Event: "'We Are Still Compelled': Artifacts of Bluffton's World War I Experience, Carrie Phillips, Bluffton University archives, 4 p.m., Kreider Room, Marbeck Center.
March 11 Art Exhibit: Senior exhibit featuring the work of Rebecca Baden, Becky Boban, Brista Drake, Cara Echols, Emily Griffioen and Elizabeth Luersman, Grace Albrecht Gallery, Sauder Art Center, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays, 1-5 p.m. Sat.-Sun. through March 24.
March 12 Forum: "Songs for Resistance and Revolution," Forum by Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, Bluffton associate professor of music, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
March 15 Colloquium: "Not About Us without Us: Some Biopsychology Implications of Intellectual Disability for Christian Ethics," Friday Colloquium by Dr. Alex Sider, professor of religion, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall.
March 17 Event: "Songs of Conscience and Peace: Music of the Great War Era," Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, associate professor of music, and Wendy Chappel-Dick MBA ’08, 4 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
March 19 Forum: "Telling Difficult Stories: Reporting on Sexual Violence," Forum presentation by Marie Osborne, anchor and reporter, WJR Radio, Detroit, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
March 24 Reception: Artists' reception for seniors Rebecca Baden, Becky Boban, Brista Drake, Cara Echols, Emily Griffioen and Elizabeth Luersman, 1-3 p.m. Grace Albrecht Gallery, Sauder Art Center.
March 26 Forum: "Changing the World One Life at a Time: The MJ Sharp Story," Keeney Peace Lecture by John Sharp, historian and tour leader for TourMagination, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
March 26 Forum: "The Light Still Shines Bright Off the Field: Success in Leadership and Life," Alumni Forum by C. Andrew Nowlin ’91, director of human resources, LifeCare Alliance, 11 a.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall.
March 29 Colloquium: "Cuba - Cuban, Caribbean or Latin?" Friday Colloquium by Emily Buckell, assistant professor of Spanish, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall.
