(TROY) - Deandre Nassar improved to 42-0 on the season and advanced to the semifinals of the 182 weight class in Friday's action at the OHSAA District Meet. The top four wrestlers in each class advance to the State Meet next weekend.
Deandre earned a 15-4 major decision over Versailles Derek Cavin to open the District Meet. Nassar followed that up with a late pin of Clermont's Luke Rayburn, a match which Nassar led 21-7 at the time.
Three additional Pirates lost Friday but are alive for Saturday action in the Consolation bracket. Tayton Kleman, Kaden Basil and Jackson Wilson will continue to look to secure a top four spot in their respective classes on Saturday.
