One drug-related arrest in February
Nearly a half-dozen police log entries in Feburary relate to drug possesion. One arrest was made, which involved the police canine unit. The February report follows.
February 1
Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash near the intersection of South Main Street and Cherry Street. A Delphos resident was issued a citation for reasonable control. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Officers responded to an injury crash at the intersection of County Line Road and State Route 103. A Bluffton juvenile was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. The case is pending in Allen County Juvenile Court.
February 4
Officers arrested a Defiance resident for driving under suspension and possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the area of Interstate 75 and State Route 103 for an equipment violation. The cases are pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
February 5
Officers arrested a Benton Ridge resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of County Line Road and Lake Street for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
February 7
Police took a theft report from a Geiger Street resident.
Police took a fraud report from a Cherry Street resident.
February 8
Officers conducted a traffic stop on County Line road for an equipment violation. Investigating officers requested canine assistance. After a positive alert from the canine, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a small amount of suspected illegal narcotics.
February 9
Officers arrested a Bluffton juvenile for possession of narcotics and paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 near Citizens Parkway for a stop sign violation. The case is pending in Allen County Juvenile Court.
Officers responded to a North Dixie Highway business for a fight complaint. Upon arrival, investigating officers located persons of interest and, after identifying the individuals, it was determined a Fort Jennings resident was underage. The Fort Jennings resident was arrested and released with a court date for underage consumption in Lima Municipal Court.
February 10
Police took a criminal damage complaint from a Vance Street resident.
Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash on Interstate 75 southbound at mile marker 138 to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 8900 block of Columbus Grove Bluffton Road. A Columbus Grove resident was issued a citation for reasonable control. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
February 11
Officers arrested a McComb resident for driving under suspension following a traffic crash investigation in the area of Main Street and College Avenue. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
February 15
A Richland Drive resident reported a menacing complaint to police.
February 17
Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the area of East Elm Street and Eastland Drive. A Bluffton resident was issued a citation for reasonable control. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
February 20
Officers arrested a Rawson resident for OVI and possession of illegal drugs following a traffic stop in the area of County Line Road and North Main Street for a stop sign violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
February 21
Officers responded to the university in reference to a suspicious person complaint. The subject was located and was told not to return to the university grounds.
February 22
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 9800 block of North Dixie Highway for a registration violation. Investigating officers requested canine assistance. After a positive alert from the canine, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located suspected illegal narcotics and paraphernalia. A Lakeview resident was arrested for possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia and issued a citation for expired license plates. The cases are pending in Lima Municipal Court.
February 25
Officers arrested a Lima resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Main Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Officers received a complaint from a State Route 103 business in regards to illegal narcotic activity at their business by a patron. After officers located the individual in question, illegal narcotics were found on his person and he was issued a misdemeanor citation into Findlay Municipal Court for possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia.
