Upcycling - March 11 at the Senior Center
Bluffton seniors will hear about “upcycling” -no, it’s not bicycling - during the Senior Center Association’s noon, Monday, March 11, dinner meeting, according to Tonya Meyer.
Chrissy Lugibihl, Et Cetera Shop manager, will show some objects made from used items, much like the rag rugs made from old blue jeans at the Center.
This is a potluck meal and members are invited to bring a dish to share, plus a place setting.
Several additional events are on the Center’s March calendar. Those follow:
Pancake day
The 37th annual pancake and sausage benefit with the Lions Club is from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 30. Tickets are available at the Center.
Matter of Balance
The Center hosts “A Matter of Balance” classes beginning at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 18. The free series is offered by Area Agency on Aging 3. It includes eight workshops, with one per week.
OVAL
Our Version of Adult Learning (OVAL) includes a program on Monday, March 18, and Monday, April 1.
The March 18 program is a pottery demonstration by Bruce Chesser. The April 1 program is presented by Linda Pollitz and the topic is “Alzheimer’s: The 10 Warning Signs Early Detection Matters.” Both programs are at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is requested for both programs.
Check the Center’s March newsletter, attached below, for all March events at the Center.
