Dueling for Dumbbells returns by popular demand
Tickets are now on sale for a Bluffton Family Recreation repeat performance of “Dueling for Dumbbells,” which takes place from 6 to 11:30 p.m., Friday, April 5, at The Centre, 601 N. Main St., Bluffton.
The evening is a casual night of live entertainment to benefit BFR, featuring hors doeuvres, snacks and an open bar starting at 6 p.m. Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director, promises that this year’s hors doeuvres will be "out of this world."
Dueling Pianos International will perform starting at 7:30 p.m.
Dueling Pianos is described as “a high-octane fiesta that’s part rock show, part comedy show and all sorts of craziness rolled into a big outrageous party. The audience becomes part of the show in a request-driven sing-along, dance-along, and thump-the-tables-along extravaganza."
“This year we have been able to add value through many services and upgrades at BFR,” said Tinch.
“Since the last Dueling for Dumbbells, we have opened a new cardio room, painted and transformed the Mercy Health Fitness Studio, added several pieces of gymnastics equipment, new squat rack for the weight room and free fitness classes for members.”
“Our goal is to sell out The Centre with the community, to raise $25,000 on April 5,” he added. “This will allow BFR to replace and repair part of our building roof.”
New to this year’s event are sponsorship opportunities for the evening, offering several levels of support. Contact BFR for more details.
Tickets are:
$60 per person
$480 for reserved table of 8

Bluffton Family Recreation and from BFR board members, Amy Blackburn, Randy Keeler, Nancy Yeager, Dan Settlege, Sabrina Longworth, Jenny Pilarowski, Seth Combs, Jamie Nygaard and Greg Denecker.
