Bluffton alumnus to speak about the skills gained as a student-athlete
C. Andrew Nowlin ’91, director of human resources at LifeCare Alliance, will present an Alumni Forum at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, in Stutzman Lecture Hall.
During his presentation, “The Light Still Shines Bright Off the Field: Success in Leadership and Life,” the Bluffton Athletics Hall of Fame member will share how he continues to utilize the leadership skills he developed through participation in team sports at Bluffton.
Nowlin helped the Beaver football team reach the NAIA Division II playoffs for the first time in school history during the 1987 football season and finished his collegiate athletic career as the all-time record holder in every major receiving category. He also holds the record for the longest receiving touchdown in college history, all divisions, with a 99-yard scoring reception.
He stays active in athletics as an Ohio High School Athletic Association official in basketball, football and volleyball. He is also a past president of two basketball association in central Ohio.
With 25 years in the not-for-profit sector, Nowlin thrives at developing and mentoring others to reach their full potential by providing effective leadership both professionally and personally. He is a strong believer that it is everyone’s responsibility to help others.
Nowlin is married to Denise (Fair) Nowlin, a 1990 Bluffton graduate. They have two grown daughters.
This event is free and open to the public.
