Lady Pirates win pitcher's duel at O-G

OTTAWA - Visiting Bluffton scored two runs in the sixth to eke out a 2-1 non-league softball win over Ottawa-Glandorf Thursday evening.
The comeback victory lifted the Pirate record to 2-1 this spring.
Bluffton hurler Libby Schaadt fired a complete game three-hitter. She struck out a dozen, walked three and allowed just one earned run in seven innings.
Schaadt shut out the hosts over the final six innings to earn the win.
She out-dueled O-G hurler Katelyn Yoder, who whiffed nine and and gave up just four hits and two earned runs. Yoder also drove in the lone O-G run in the bottom of the first frame.
Averey Rumer had a hit, scored a run and knocked in the other Pirate run to help pace the winning offense. Katie Prater and Mara Minnig each added a hit. Brinkley Garmatter collected a hit and scored the other Bluffton run.
