Bluffton Pediatrics in its new home
Bluffton Pediatrics is now open in its new home at 122 N. Jackson St., across from the elementary school.
Beth Bish, APRN-CNP, nurse practitioner, said that the practice saw its first patient at its new location on April 15.
The new location is the former Robert Neff and Associates, architect office. Originally, the building housed the practice of Dr. B.W. Travis, Bluffton general practitioner. In this way, the building has reverted back to a medical building.
Bish said that the office includes two examination rooms, a treatment room, with additional “kid friendly” things on the way.
Bluffton Pediatrics opened in January 2015 at 505 E. Jefferson St, Suite A, in the Diamond Manufacturing building.
When making the announcement in February about the relocation, Bish said that the practice is averaging seven to 10 new patients a week. And since opening in 2015 Bish has taken training and is now also certified as a pediatric mental health specialist, in addition to holding her other medical credentials.
Bluffton Pediatrics staff members with Bish are Christine Clymer, executive director, Onalee Shepler and Alyssa Maag, medical office assistants. Beth and her husband, Jim, own the practice. Jim is a registered nurse with Bridge Home Health and Hospice, part of the Blanchard Valley Health System.
An open house is planned following the Friday, May 10, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
