Registration for several BFR spring-summer programs underway
Registration for several Bluffton Family Recreation classes are now underway, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.
Youth soccer camp
The camp is for U-8 to U-15 boys and girls held from Monday to Thursday, June 17-21. Camp times are 10 a.m. to noon at Steinmetz Field on Harmon Road. Jared Byers, BHS girls’ varsity soccer coach, leads the camp. Cost: $20 members; $40 non-members.
Glow volleyball tournament
The tournament is Saturday, June 1, and is coed 6v6 indoors. Team fee is $75. Cash prizes are awarded.
Sand volleyball
Play is from Sunday, June 9, through Sunday, July 14. Matches at Bluffton University sand volleyball courts. Coed 6v6 (minimum of three women per team). Team registration is $150. A league tournament is Sunday, July 14. Deadline to register is Friday, May 31.
Summer T-ball
Play is from Tuesday, July 9, to Thursday, Aug. 8, with games at 6 p.m. at the Bluffton village park, County Line Road. Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays. T-ball is for boys ages 4 to 6 and girls ages 4 to 7. Deadline to sign-up is Monday, June 24. $30 for members; $60 non-members.
Adult coed softball
Play is on Sundays from June 23 to Aug. 4, with a tournament on Aug. 4. Registration is $250 per team and the registration deadline is Sunday, June 2. $10 umpire fee for each game.
Pickleball tournament
Tourney starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 8, at BFR. Divisions are for:
• Men’s singles
• Women’s singles
• Men’s doubles
• Women’s doubles
• Mixed doubles
Entry is $10 for first division and $5 for each addition division. Deadline for entries is Sunday, May 26.
3v3 soccer tourney
The 3v3 soccer tournament is Saturday, June 22. Registration is $75 per team.
