It's a wonderful time of the year, with baby birds leaving their nests and learning how to fly. But unfortunately, it's easy for cats to catch the baby birds. This is a great time of year to keep your cat inside, and give the birds a chance to fly.

Keeping cats inside is also good for them - house cats have a much longer life than outdoor cats. And keeping them inside year round is even better for wildlife. Across America, cats kill 2.4 billion birds and 12.3 billion mammals annually, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute.

Cats and birds - great separately, but not together!
