What do kids want at the Buckeye park?
Ask a kid for an opinion and you’ll get it.
Expect some great ideas when you ask.
The village parks and recreation committee (Ben Stahl council member; Mitch Kingsley council member; Mayor Richard Johnson and Jesse Blackburn, village administrator), sent a questionnaire to Bluffton elementary students.
Committee members wanted to know elementary youths thoughts on what would be good features for the Buckeye park.
A summary of the survey is at the bottom of this story.
In the meantime, here’s some of the wish list from Bluffton students:
• Place to ride bikes
• Trampoline
• Controlling a pretend robot
• Dirt bike course
• Basketball hoops
• Obstacle course
• Bouncy house
• Mini-golf course
• Rock Wall
• Splash pad
• Pretend animal statues to climb on
• Zipline
• Bouncy spring animal
• and, of course, a slide with rollers
