J. Kurt Beach, 68, of North Baltimore died Thursday June 13, 2019.

He was born on June 4, 1951, to the late John J. Beach and Helen A. Beach (Emans) in Bluffton, Ohio. He would marry Rebecca S. (Huss) King in May 1970. They had two sons; Jeffery K. (Nicole) Beach of Forest, and preceded in death by their infant son, Jeremy J. Beach on Nov. 20, 1974.

Kurt would later marry Connie L. Beach (Huber) on July 6, 1976. He is survived by his wife, Connie L. Beach; their two sons: Jonathan T. (Cherie) Beach of Rawson, and Chad C. (Amy) Beach of Findlay, Ohio; two brothers: Gary L. (Karen) Beach of Jenera, and Steven L. (Jean) Beach of Bluffton, Ohio; three sisters: Jonna (the late Clair) Hartman of Rawson, Jeanine (Cornelius) Hindall of Arlington, and Bonnie (the late Dale) Hector; and 9 grandchildren: Brooke, Schelby, Jarrod, Gavin, Clara, Caitlynn, Evan, Lindsey, and Allison.

He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Beach on Jan. 19, 1982; and his mother, Helen A. Beach (Emans) on Aug. 26, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Clair Hartman and Dale Hector.

Kurt was a 1969 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School, where he was the class president and FFA vice president. Kurt was also a captain of the 1968, undefeated and unscored-upon, state championship football team and was recognized as a first team all-conference linebacker and tght end and first team all-Ohio tight end.

He served in the United States Army from February 1971 to February 1977, where he received the Army Commendation Medal for service in Vietnam from July 1971 to April 1972.

Kurt was an employee of Whirlpool in Findlay for nearly 25 years. He then pursued an Engineering career, designing injection molding tools and products.

In the early 90s, he patented and sold one of his own injection molding related inventions. Later in life, he founded an asphalt sealing company, Superior Sealing Ltd., operating to date with his son Jeff.

Funeral services were June 18,  at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, with Pastor Mike McClurg officiating. Burial was in Grove Cemetery, Kenton, where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad presented full military rites.
