Bluffton finishes a strong second in eight-team WOAL championships

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton swim team finished a strong second out of eight teams at the 39th annual Elks West Ohio Aquatic League championship meet held Friday and Saturday at the Bluffton pool.
Perennial power Westside won the combined team meet with 2,964 points to nose out the hosts, who scored 2,779.5 points.
Westside out-pointed Bluffton 1,421.5 points to 1,357 to win the girls team crown, and also won the boys team standings 1,542.5 points to 1,422.5 over the Sardines.
Bluffton received the Sportsmansship award, voted on by all the coaches.
