Summerfest's 1-K returns on Aug. 10
You remember last year's first-ever Summerfest 1-K, right?
It returns at noon, Saturday, Aug. 10, bigger and better than ever, according to Derek Dukes and Brandon Falk, the creators of the event.

• It’s a fundraiser for Bluffton Family Recreation.
• The entry fee is $20.
• There’s a pre- and post-race ‘beverage.”
• Awards are presented to the top five finishers.
• Registration underway now; ends at 11:45 a.m., Aug. 10.
• Free 1K T-shirt with your entry.
• For the runner who claims it's too hot to run, the course includes two hydration tables.
The grueling course length is 3,280 feet and the course elevation has a very steep 5-foot incline.
Free parking for participates is at Southgate Lanes with regular shuttles to the starting line at the Bluffton Dari Freeze.
Summerfest also inclues a 4-person dual volleyball and badmitten tournament. There is an eight-team max and games start at 2 p.m. Team sponsorships are $100.
From 7 to 11 p.m. Phil Austin, djlimaohio.com will be at the bowling alley.
