Bluffton linksters sweep NWC quad

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton golf team won a four-team Northwest Conference match at the Bluffton Golf Course Thursday to tee off its season in style.
The co-host Pirates won with 178 strokes, followed by Columbus Grove (193), Ada (199) and Crestview (232).
Bluffton's Drew Wilson and Zach Roberts of Columbus Grove tied for match medalist honors score with a total of 42.
Kenny Lovett shot a 43 to finish second for the Pirates. Jared Piercefield carded a 45 and Micah Minnig shot 48.
Jacob Boisvert added a 49 and Wes Brauen shot 89 to round out the Bluffton effort.
Bluffton improved to 3-0 overall and 3-0 in league play with the wins. Grove is 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the NWC, while Crestview is 0-5 and 0-3.
Ada is now 2-3 overall and 1-3 in NWC play.
