Pirates, Black Knights battle to tie

A late score by host Van Buren tied Bluffton 2-2 in girls soccer non-league action Tuesday evening.
The Lady Pirate kickers are now 0-2-1.
VB scored first in the 23rd minute, yet Bluffton's Laykin Garmatter tied it seven minutes later.
Gaermatter put the Pirates ahead 2-1 with her second goal in the 49th minute.
But with two minutes left Black Knight Henner knotted it up with a late tally.
VB put five of its eight shots on goal. Bluffton fired 21 shots, 11 of which were on goal.
VB saved seven shots while Bluffton stopped three.
Bluffton hosts Ada tonight at 5 p.m. in the Northwest Conference opener.
