The Library’s next meeting of the adult book discussion group is Wednesday, Sept. 4, at noon, and will be discussing "The Huntress" by Kate Quinn. The meeting includes a special visit by the author, via Skype.

The book discussion, open to the public, meets on the first Wednesday of the month. The monthly discussion group is open to new members and registration is requested.

Book synopsis

"The Huntress" is an historical novel about a battle-haunted English journalist and a Russian female bomber pilot who join forces to track the Huntress, a Nazi war criminal gone to ground in America.

About the author

Kate Quinn loves history.  She was born and lives in California, but attended Boston University where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Voice. She has written four novels in the Empress of Rome Saga, and two books in the Italian Renaissance, before turning to the 20th century with “The Alice Network” and “The Huntress.”

Through her books, Quinn tries to put passion, laughter and humanity back into history.
