Ellen McCullough 1938 - 2019
H. Ellen McCullough, 80, died Sept. 5, 2019, at 10:50 p.m. at St. Rita's Ambulatory Care Center in Glandorf. Ellen was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Gilboa, Ohio to the late Cornelius Jay and Doris (Eck) Dearth. On October 10, 1934 she married Larry McCullough who survives in Gilboa.
Ellen graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School in 1956. She had worked in various offices as an administrative assistant. Ellen was an active member of the Gilboa United Methodist Church and also the Red Hat Society.
Survivors also include a daughter, Rhonda (Jeff) Kulhman of Gilboa; a son, Larry "Butch" (Suzi) McCullough Jr. of Pandora; six grandchildren, Brian (Lorie Dunham) Kuhlman, Kim (Jared) Parsley, Paige McCullough, Vanessa McCullough, Layton McCullough, Cooper McCullough; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Morales, Addyson Parsley, Mason Parsley; four siblings, Duane (Mary) Dearth of Ottawa, Ann Huser of Shaker Heights, Jean Fields of Lima and Betty Simon of Ottawa.
Ellen was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dearth and a sister, Doris Herr.
Services will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at Gilboa United Methodist Church. Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist officiating. Burial will be in Harmon Cemetery, Gilboa following the service.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gilboa United Methodist Church.
