Pirate spikers drop showdown to Knights

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton volleyball team was swept by visiting Crestview in a Northwest Conference showdown between league co-leaders Tuesday night.
The Lady Pirates fell to 9-5 and 2-1 in the NWC with the 25-21, 25-19, 25-19 defeat. Crestview improved to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the NWC to take sole possession of first place after the win.
Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirates with 12 kills and three blocks. Taylor Schwab came up with 15 digs. Kylie Monday knocked down seven kills and made two blocks.
Haelynn Bischoff contributed 10 digs.
Setter Skyler Scoles passed out 23 assists, served one ace and mustered a dozen digs. Cara Young served one ace and dished out six assists.
The Bluffton reserves also lost to the Knight JV squad, 2-0.
The Lady Pirates play at NWC foe Paulding (5-5, 1-1 NWC) Thursday evening.
