Robert Wagner was a lifelong farmer
Robert E. Wagner, 89, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at 11:01 a.m. at his residence in Ada, surrounded by his wife and family.
He was born on June 9, 1930, in Hancock County, Ohio, to Louie P. and Helen K. (Nusbaum) Wagner who preceded him in death. On June 25, 1950, he married Twila L. Henry and she survives in Ada.
Robert formerly worked at the Triplett Electric of Bluffton in the Engineering Department from 1948 to 1953 and he was a lifelong farmer. He was a lifetime member of the Bethel Church of Christ, Ada. Robert was a 1948 graduate of Ada High School.
Also surviving is a son, Daniel C. (Rhonda) Wagner of Ada; three daughters: Sharon (Brock) Ramage of DeMotte, Ind., Sharleen (Robert Burns) Wagner of Harrod and Sandra (Mike) Gleason of Bluffton; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Carl D. (Mary) Wagner of Ada; and two sisters: Eileen (Keith) Klingler of Bluffton and Linda (Gary) Fleming of Ada.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wagner in 1968; a grandson, Erik Ramage; a brother, Bill Wagner; and two sisters: Betty Wagner and Judy DeLong.
It was his to wish to be cremated. A memorial service will begin at noon on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Bethel Church of Christ, 4014 County Road 304, Ada, Ohio 45810.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
