Bluffton police deal with two cases of fake currency
Here's the Bluffton police department September docket.
Sept. 7
Officers arrested a Pandora resident on an outstanding warrant out of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers arrested a Fort Wayne, Indiana, resident for OVI following a traffic stop on Interstate 75 for a marked lanes violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
Sept. 8
Officers arrested a Bluffton resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 800 block of County Line Road for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
Officers responded to the area of Lausanne Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute.
Sept. 9
Officers took a complaint of telecommunications harassment from a North Main Street resident.
Officers received a theft complaint from a Vine Street resident.
Sept. 11
Officers arrested a Wooster resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 300 block of County Line Road for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Sept. 15
Officers responded to Harmon Field in reference to a disorderly conduct complaint.
Sept. 19
Officers received a complaint of a person attempting to pass fake currency at a South Main Street business.
Sept. 20
Officers arrested a Bluffton resident for operating a vehicle without a driver’s license following a traffic stop in the area of Commerce Lane. The case is pending in Hancock County Juvenile Court.
Sept. 21
Officers arrested a Bluffton resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Lawn Avenue for a registration violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Sept. 24
Officers received a complaint of a person attempting to pass fake currency at a South Main Street business. After viewing video surveillance, Officers were able to identify the subject as a Bluffton resident. Officers conducted an interview with the suspect and were able to close the case.
Sept. 30
Officers responded to the 500 block of North Main Street in reference to a domestic violence complaint. After an investigation, officers determined the primary aggressor and placed a Bluffton resident under arrest for domestic violence. The suspect was transported to the Allen County Justice Center. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
