It's a new season and BHS volleyball team is 1-0

BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton swept Pandora-Gilboa in first round Div. IV sectional volleyball play Tuesday night to snap a five-match losing streak and advance in tournament play.
Youthful Bluffton moves on to the second round with a 25-23, 25-20, 25-20 victory over the eighth-seeded Lady Rockets. The win improved their season record to 12-11, while P-G ended up 12-11 with the loss.
Sophomore Kylie Stackhouse led the Lady Pirate offense with 18 kills. Senior Libby Schaadt and Haelynn Bischoff each contributed seven kills.
Junior Taylor Schwab amassed 20 digs, while sophomore setter Skyler Scoles passed out 32 assists. Sophomore Kylie Monday came up with a dozen digs and two blocks.
Sophomore Cara Young contributed 11 digs, and sophomore Bischoff also added two aces.
The fifth-seeded Pirates face third-seeded MAC foe Marion Local (11-10) in Div. IV sectional final action Thursday, Oct. 17 at New Knoxville. The match will start at 5:30 p.m.
The winner advances to the district semifinals Monday, October 21 at Bluffton University.
